THERE IS NO TEAM WITHOUT A TEAM. BASTA!

Facilitation of teams in their change and development requires a deeply understanding and knowledge of topics such as personality, communication, motivation, learning, leadership and membership.

We have learned also the hard way what it takes to make successful and winning teams. In many countries and in many companies.

Great teams are made of great people. It’s all about relations between people, their own motivators, their own talents and their own behaviour.

We objectively measure and map all individuals and their impact on each other and tangible translate it into all what is needed and what needs to change to become a unified, energised and winning team again.

BASTA APPROACH:

LET’S MEET. It might be obvious but it starts with meeting each other. We would like to know who you are and of course you would like to know who we are. A website is just a website.

LET’S MEASURE. At BASTA we are certified (for many years) to use DISCOVER

LET’S PLAN. We will present you a no-nonsense plan to translate the DISCOVER results into a tangible and actionable plan.

LET’S GET IT DONE. It’s the execution of the plan based on what we agreed. Our preference is to do it at the BASTA Academy in Monda – Spain. Depending on your needs and preferences it can also be done ‘somewhere else’ as long as it far enough from home and work. A key-prerequisite is to purely focus on the new goal for the team by being positively disconnected from normal ‘day-to-day’ activities.

And just being practical but also ‘dutch’ from a cost perspective. Flight costs/time to Spain and low facilitation costs in Spain are on the same level as travel costs/time and high facilitation costs in the Netherlands.

Let's meet!

The DISCOVER language for behaviour is based on the work of William Moulton Marston (1893 – 1947). He developed a theory about how ‘normal people’ responds emotionally to different stimuli from their environment. Eduard Spranger (1882 – 1963) and Gordon Allport (1897 – 1967) were the founders of the DISCOVER language of motivators. In their efforts to study human behaviour, they concluded a total of 7 values that influence human behaviour. The DISCOVER Language of talents is based on the scientific work of Robert S. Hartman (1910 – 1973). Strongly influenced by his own experiences in Nazi Germany, this German-American philosopher strived to answer the question “What makes people do good?”. For his contribution to the world and world peace, his work was nominated for the Nobel Peace prize in 1973, two weeks before his death.

Why is BASTA using the DISCOVER methodology?

  • The best picture you can get. The DISCOVER assessments (in many languages available) are among the best validated in the market and are based on generally accepted and publicly accessible scientific methods. The better the validation, the more often and better people identify themselves with the test results.
  • The methodology gives a much broader and deeper insights in team behavior, team motivators and talents of people as compared to ‘the sum of’ single behavior or motivators tests
  • It is all ‘on-line’ and provides easy readable data and reports to predict and analyze team dynamics in behavior, motivators and talents.
  • Objectivity is very important. Results are communicated in a neutral language to share and to discuss without judgment. There is no right or wrong.
